Help Sister Corita support the St Augustine Hunger Center
Usually, the summer brings a golf outing to benefit the Hunger Center. Unfortunately, this year with the Covid issues the Diocese has suggested we put it off until 2022.
Hunger Centers everywhere saw a tremendous increase in need this past year, many first timers. ST. AUGUSTINE’S Hunger Center numbers jumped for DAILY meals from 2,100/week in 2019 to 3,500 + 300 delivered to shut ins/week in 2020.
80% of funding comes from individual donations and we need your support.
The golf outing was started in 2016 to offer an enjoyable day of golf that would provide assistance for some of Cleveland’s most needy. To date the five- year total raised is just over $112,000
We’re selling 50/50 tickets as well as having a Golf package raffle. Details on our website. If you’d like to donate go to: www.sistercoritagolf.org and hit the donate button.
“I am so humbled by the generosity of our communities to help support the hunger center especially in the summer months when donations of food and money are typically down,” said Sister Corita Ambro, retired director of St. Augustine’s Hunger Center. “Thank you to all that donated and supported this fundraiser.”
Richard Slosar the Golf outing Chairman said, “We were hopeful that so many will still support our efforts in spite of us not golfing.” This year’s golf outing Major sponsors are Catholic Charities Corporation and Boyd Watterson
